I LOVE to write. But to be really honest with you, I’m a bit of a rubbish ‘blogger’!!

My blog, The Inspired Notebook, has less than fifty posts on it, written over the four and a half years since I started ‘blogging’. (Note the quotations! I’ve had a while to prove myself. And so far my track record is pretty average!!)

It’s not that I don’t want to write blog posts, and share all of the awesome goodness of green smoothies and those other things I’m passionate about – like women pursuing their dreams in biz and life. And raw desserts. And ice cream…

I SO want to share those things. But for some reason, the ‘writing a blog posts’ bit has got me stuck along the way. Probably because I’ve spent way too long on some of those posts. Hours. Weeks

Sure, I’ve written a couple of posts here on this website… back in October last year! And my Inspired Notebook blog has been sadly neglected since January this year, when I wrote with the very best of intentions about the year that I intended to live (and grow) authentically.

For the first six months I really didn’t. (Live authentically, that is). Instead, I got caught up working on other people’s projects that took me away from all of those things that I’d identified as being so important.

Until late last month, when I decided enough is enough. It’s time for me to get back (again! for real this time) to those things that inspire and give me joy.

When I think of what those things are that give me joy and inspire me, to be honest all I can think about at the moment is coconut ice cream, raw desserts, and raw chocolate. And of course, my gorgeous green smoothies!! I’m a bit obsessed though, with the healthy desserts. Mmmmm….

But mostly, I’m determined to make things easy for myself. For ‘work’ to feel like ‘play’.

Which is why I was kind of excited to lose my mobile phone last week, to have a great excuse to finally upgrade to an iPhone!! (I’ve been envious for a while of the amazing photos my kids are able to take with their iPhones). It’s been on my mind that I’d love to start playing on Instagram and sharing my gorgeous green smoothies there as well as on my Gorgeous Green Smoothies Facebook page. And Pinterest. Oh, wow, so much fun!!!

My kids (who I totally shocked last night when I told them I already knew what Periscope is, but who do know a whole lot more about Instagram at this point than I do!) tell me that I’m only allowed to post to Instagram once a day – twice at the most, but that has to be once in the morning and once in the afternoon…

I have a LOT to learn, clearly!!

And who knows… I may yet become a ‘blogger’. Because I really do want to share with you my favourite gorgeous green smoothies, and my love for healthy desserts, nutritious snacks. And… ice cream!!!!! (I have a minor obsession with Zebra Dream raw organic coconut ice cream. My fave flavour: Choc Raspberry Swirl. OMGosh, if you get the chance, do try it!!)

So for those of you who aren’t on Instagram, here’s the recipe for this delicious gorgeous green smoothie that I shared last night:

SPARKLING MANGO GREEN SMOOTHIE

Gorgeous Green Smoothie

1/2 cup frozen mango pieces
1/2 cup ‘two fruits’  (peach and pear pieces) 
1/2 a banana
1/2 an apple
1 small (unpeeled) lemon wedge
1 large handful of baby spinach
1/2 teaspoon spirulina (optional)
1/2 cup coconut water (or plain filtered water)

Blend & enjoy!!!
